In a significant development for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Australia, BizCover has been appointed as the exclusive direct online distributor for Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance's (BHSI) professional indemnity (PI) insurance products.
This partnership, effective from 1 October 2025, enables SMEs to access BHSI's PI coverage directly through BizCover's digital platform.

BizCover's digital-first approach simplifies the insurance process, allowing businesses to compare, purchase, and manage their insurance needs efficiently. By integrating BHSI's PI products, including Information Technology Liability and Allied Health Combined Liability, into its platform, BizCover offers a streamlined solution tailored to the diverse requirements of Australian SMEs.

Mark Lingafelter, Head of BHSI Australasia, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating that BizCover's digital approach makes insurance more accessible and efficient for SMEs. He emphasized that partnering with BizCover allows BHSI to provide professional indemnity cover reliably and at scale, supporting growth in Australia and beyond.

Michael Gottlieb, CEO of BizCover, expressed enthusiasm about the alliance, noting that it provides Australian SMEs with seamless access to their professional indemnity cover. He emphasized that this partnership allows businesses to compare, buy, and manage insurance efficiently in one place, backed by one of the world's most respected insurers.

This collaboration is particularly beneficial for SMEs seeking comprehensive PI coverage without the complexities often associated with traditional insurance procurement. The digital platform offers a user-friendly interface, enabling businesses to obtain quotes, assess coverage options, and secure policies promptly.

For SMEs, professional indemnity insurance is crucial in protecting against claims of professional negligence or mistakes. This partnership ensures that businesses have access to tailored policies that match their specific risk profiles, providing financial security for legal defense costs and settlements.

In summary, the partnership between BizCover and BHSI marks a significant advancement in the Australian insurance landscape, offering SMEs a more accessible and efficient pathway to obtaining essential professional indemnity coverage.
